Today we started packing. Choosing what to bring for six months of backpacking involved a lot of hard decisions. And after putting everything in to our backpacks, it involved a lot more decisions looking at what was not going anyway.

Below is my first attempt at packing and the current list of things to bring does not contain everything seen in the picture.
